Finally!!

 Finally I can say my new dress didn't fit since I last posted due to extreme weight gain from 2 years ago since last trying it on but we set a date!! November 19 this year. Got a whole new different dress, selling the old one, and since it's going to be on a hiking trail, I don't need new shoes cuz I will be using my hiking boots. We have done so far booking officiant that also does photography, new wedding rings, new dress, kept veil I had 2 years ago, buying new slip, got jewelry, got him measured to rent his tux, got a cabin for the weekend and are currently talking to hair and makeup artists. Almost done and this was all done in a weeks time! Now we need his tux, kids' outfits, book the hair and makeup people and figure out where to have a small dinner at after .... That's bout it! 

New dress!

It's been a while since I posted on here but I found another dress that'll fit me perfectly if I lose a little bit more weight. Found it at David's Bridal since I had given away the dress I previously owned. Don't get me wrong, that first wedding dress i owned was absolutely stunning. But since we decided to go to the court house and get married instead of a actually wedding, I decided to go with this dress since its also stunning and i'm short, it'll go down to my ankles:

Someone was selling the exact one on Facebook and already had straps on it. Now, I didn't like how the Shaw thing felt around my shoulders  nor the straps originally on it.. so I turned the Shaw into straps which looks like this:

And then I found a sash to go with it and has the seamstress put it on as well. Now since I have the dress in a garment bag hanging up upstairs, its a little difficult to get the veil out of the way since it was hanging up a bit high but I did the best I can to give you an overall picture of what it looks like altogether...

I love how it turned out except for the beads on the one strap because the seamstress decided to rush and not put them on correctly but it's okay because that'll get fixed before the wedding day... whenever that may be (considering the wedding was supposed to be on  November 9th BUT things happened to where we couldn't have it and then my grandmother went into the hospital that very day and passed a month later)! I wish I had a picture of what I look like in the dress when I had tried it on after the new straps and sash went on the dress but it's okay. That's what the wedding day is for right?!

I found this awesome website via a facebook ad that does a unique twist for a guestbook only its a picture frame that your guests can engrave their name on it!! It's so unique and creative! Trying to think things through since a lot has changed throughout the years. I know for certain we are thinking of a wedding again. Financially may be impossible but trying for Oct 8, 2016. Not official yet since we don't have the money to book the facilities to have them at. But still shooting for the Buhl Mansion for ceremony on the stairway and then reception would be at the University Club. Once these venues are booked, then off to sailing on spending $$ we go. lol Thinking more than likely our caterer would be a cousin of ours who loves to cook so that'll save us money right there. Budget is less than $5k and there was a couple centerpieces i was looking at. Also, found the cake i wanted too. lol This lady who makes cakes was at a bridal show my aunt (also engaged and getting married in May 2016) and I went to. She has a Facebook page (Kim's Confections). I really like it and found a beautiful princess type cake.

 Now i was given the notion of my fiancee that only 50 would be at the wedding (i might just sneak in a little more at the reception without him knowing lol). So Here are the photos of some centerpieces i was thinking of THIS time around and also the cake that i LOVE so its a MUST HAVE type thing lol.  I guess you would say it's kind of going to be a princess type theme. lol

Since April 2013, a lot have been going on. We haven't talked about having a wedding at all since 2012. Which is okay but financially, we have nothing for the wedding and it would be okay to actually save up. NOW, my brother on the other hand is getting married this year. I think May 2014. I have seen bits and pieces of the wedding and I heard she wants to get live peacocks for the reception and I'm a bit worried about that for the kids' sake. BUT, was able to snag a pic of the bridesmaids dresses and wanted to see what y'all thought of it. It's not a great picture but at least it's A picture!! She purchased it online which I wont ever do again!! Please comment!

We were just going through some Alfred Angelo dresses and we came across these dresses... Fiancee really like the BERRY color dresses here... kind of redish-purple...with either ivory or champagne color to it.

We had the bridesmaids try on a few dresses and thought i'd put them on here for you all to see as well..

 

Delay...

There is now a delay in the wedding due to alot going on and also with christmas and whatnot. So we are now going to wait until 2014.
